How to Train Your AI Chatbot with FAQs

Teach your chatbot common questions and answers for better accuracy

You can improve your chatbot’s accuracy by teaching it common customer questions and their answers using the FAQs section in ReComAI.

This allows your chatbot to respond clearly and correctly to frequently asked questions such as return policies, delivery timelines, and support queries.

Step 1: Go to the FAQs Tab

In the left sidebar, under Knowledge Base, click on FAQs

This section lets you create question-and-answer pairs for your chatbot

Step 2: Add a New FAQ

Click the Add button in the top-right corner

A popup modal titled Add FAQ will appear

Step 3: Enter Your FAQ

Fill in the following fields:

Question

What a user might ask

_Example: “What is your return policy?”_

Answer

What the chatbot should respond with

_Example: “Our return policy allows returns within 30 days.”_

Click Save FAQ once done

Step 4: Train the Bot

After adding FAQs, click the Train button (top-right)

This step allows the AI to learn and process the new FAQ data

Once saved, your FAQ will appear in the list

Newly added FAQs may show a Not Trained badge initially

Click the Train button (top-right) to update the AI

Once training is successful, the Not Trained badge will disappear

⚠️ Important Note: Add FAQs to Data Source

Adding FAQs and training them is not enough.

To make sure your chatbot can actually use these FAQs while chatting with users, you must add them to the Data Source section of the chatbot.

Go to Chatbots → Data Source

Click Add Data Source

Select the FAQs you created

Click Add Data Source, then click Update to save changes

Without adding FAQs to the Data Source, the chatbot will not read or respond using this data.
